We are thrilled to announce the start of our Fly Tying Social at Foxons, kicking off earlier this year due to our relocation. The first event of the season is happening this Saturday, 28th of September, from 10 am to 4 pm. Whether you’re a seasoned fly tyer or just getting started, this informal and friendly day of fly tying and fishing chat is the perfect opportunity to hone your skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
Meet John Murphy: Our Special Guest
We’re excited to welcome John Murphy to our first fly tying session of the season. With over 15 years of experience, John is not only a skilled fly tyer but also a fantastic river angler. Known for his expertise in crafting flies for trout, grayling, and sea trout, John will be on hand to demonstrate some of his favourite patterns that are perfect for the upcoming grayling season. He’ll also be available to answer any questions you may have and share his tips and techniques.
John’s experience extends beyond our shop, as he’ll also be featured in next year’s tyers row at the British Fly Fair International (BFFI), making this a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best in the field.
